Deep Rest in the Light of the Arctic Summer
SATURDAY 2 AUGUST 6-7:30 PM
This is not a regular class. It’s a carefully designed, immersive journey into full-body stillness, deep nervous system recovery, and soulful rest. The 24/7 daylight of Arctic summer can leave us overstimulated, fatigued, and subtly disconnected from our natural rhythms. This workshop is a response to that — a recalibration, a coming home.
What to Expect
We begin with Restorative Yoga — fully supported postures using props to allow the body to soften without effort. These long-held shapes invite deep muscular release and emotional quiet.
From there, we move into Yoga Nidra — known as yogic sleep. It’s a guided meditation done lying down, where you drift between wakefulness and sleep. The body rests while the mind enters a deeply regenerative state. Yoga Nidra is clinically supported to:
- reduce anxiety and stress
- improve sleep quality
- balance the nervous system
- promote emotional clarity and healing
We’ll close our evening with warm herbal tea and gentle grounding to transition out of rest slowly and mindfully.
