A Midnight Sun Knitting Evening: Sophie scarf
A cozy community workshop at Soul Peak. Unlimited tea, cozy vibes, good music, and a room full of people seated on the floor learning to knit a Sophie scarf, a simple and beautiful little project just right for the Arctic summer.
There is something quietly meditative about knitting. The repetition, the focus, the simple rhythm of hands at work. Add in a view of Longyearbyen through the window and the grounding atmosphere of the studio itself, and this becomes more than just a craft evening. Especially during the midnight sun, when the light is constantly present and it is easy to feel pulled in so many directions at once, this is a chance to come ground yourself. For once, do nothing but be present and knit alongside others.
Hosted by Leandra, sommelier at Huset, advanced knitter, and creative soul. She will walk us through everything from start to finish. Whether you are an experienced knitter wanting to go at your own pace or an absolute beginner who has never picked up a needle, this is open to all. Everybody knits here.
Plan for about two hours, give or take, depending on how deep you get into the rhythm of it. Come sit on the floor, sip some tea, and make something meaningful with your hands.
𖦹 Things you need to bring: You can bring your own yarn or you will have the chance to buy from our host. Bring your own 3.5 mm (US 4) / 24 inch (60 cm) circular needles.
Spots are limited. Come as you are, leave with a scarf and a little more presence than when you walked in.
