The Story Behind Soul Peak Studio: A Journey of Love, Longing, and the Arctic
Ahyeong and Anoop are two kindred souls who have found their grounding in the Arctic—a home shaped not only by where they come from, but by the spaces they long to create wherever they go. One carries the quiet strength of the South Korean shores; the other, the rich earth of South India’s plains. Together, they share a deep devotion to transforming each environment they touch into a place of softness, strength, and belonging.
They met in Mysore, India when Ahyeong was on a year-long journey from Seoul to explore yoga and spirituality, and Anoop on a break from his life as a chef and guide in Svalbard. Their love sparked quickly, blooming among misty hills, fragrant coffee estates, and the warmth of shared meals in the Indian kitchen.
But love, they knew, is not just in the landscapes—it’s in the commitment to create home, even when life pulls you apart. So, after months of long-distance calls, deep longing, and the ache of separation, they made a choice: to come together and root themselves in the Arctic, to build a space of peace, presence, and shared belonging.
For Ahyeong and Anoop, home is not just for themselves—it’s something they offer outward. As travelers, they know the quiet, aching need to have a safe space where you can land, breathe, and simply be. Their hope is to offer that kind of grounding, nurturing space to their community: a place where anyone, whether wandering or rooted, can find rest, connection, and the freedom to bloom.
